Video Gaming, a very important aspect of a children’s life had
been and is always considered wastage of such precious time. Playing video
games helps the children to let their creativity, aggression and sadness out of
their minds. Video games are a way of
letting our emotions burst from inside and expel out. They help to pass our
time when we feel lonely or boredom has taken over us. In fact, it’s a complete
packet of entertainment in a small box.

According to many
people, video games increase the sharpness of mind and whoever plays them has
more concentration power than other people. Research dating right back to the
early 1980s has consistently shown that playing games produces reductions in
reaction times, improved hand-eye-coordination and raises players self –esteem.
What’s more curiosity, fun, and the nature of the challenge also appear to add
to a game’s educational potential. It increases competitive spirit in the
players whether they are teens just like us or older people who are between the
ages of 20 to 30 years. Since games makes people engage in playing, it has also
resulted in the rise of ‘EDU-TAINMEMT’ media. Gaming advances the brain’s
capability of solving complex problems which are very essential nowadays. Games
help to learn new type of skills, induce decision-making and induce tech
players to think on their feet and hone social skills.
As all of we know, if something has some positive approach it
also has a darker side which we all don’t like. Similarly, games also have some
negative points. Excessive gaming leads to emotional disorders, decline in
verbal memory performance, attention problems, family interaction problems,
sleeping problems etc. Playing violent games result in aggressive behavior
which in turn is a risk factor.
Everything has some negative and some positive points. It depends on us
how we utilize it. Therefore, I leave it on u that “Should video games always
be taken as a negative aspect or a positive one?”
